HOW TO EFFECTIVELY MANAGE YOUR ORGANISATIONAL PROJECT PORTFOLIO?
Anyone whose job has involved managing the project portfolio of an entire organisation or a large department will have encountered these issues:
- How do I collect and organise project ideas and needs?
- What criteria should be used to decide whether a project should be included in the portfolio?
- How can I ensure that the project portfolio and the projects in it fit the company's strategy and contribute effectively to the achievement of the organisational objectives?
- How do I strike the right balance between risks and resources?
- Should you choose the project with high potential or the one with a more certain outcome?
- How do I plan and manage a portfolio-level roadmap and changes?
- How do I integrate unexpected projects into my existing portfolio?
- How can I ensure that the portfolio can respond to changes?
- How can dependencies between projects be identified and managed?
- How do I communicate portfolio decisions?
- How can I ensure support for those affected?
- What IT tools or software can help me do my job?
These issues are a daily challenge for organisations of most sizes and sectors. Through a simulation of a project portfolio case study, our two-day programme will introduce participants to the key methods and tools that underpin successful portfolio management and provide solutions to these issues.

"I was very pleased with the content and the way the course was run. The trainer was fully prepared and could answer all my questions. He also gave a lot of practical advice on how to prepare for the exam, drawing on his own experience. The material shared was prepared to a high quality, and the test questions at the end of the topics were very useful. Even when we got the wrong answers, the trainer always explained in detail what we had done wrong."
