HOW TO PREPARE AND PLAN AGILE PROJECTS?

The use of agile methodologies is now inevitable in more and more projects. There are several theoretical methods for applying them, but in most cases teams in a market environment ask the question: okay, but how can this be done in practice?

Thanks to its huge success, we have launched our proprietary project simulation in an open source format to give more product owners and project managers a detailed, experience-based process and toolkit to answer this question.

The programme is recommended for Product Owners, Agile Project Managers, and teams, who want to plan and prepare business projects in an agile environment and according to a clear process and want to learn the tools to do so.

Prerequisites and Frameworks

Although we will cover the basics of agile during the programme, it is still an advantage if participants have already encountered the basic concepts and mindset of agile and are familiar with its elements.

If required, we will help you to obtain the Scrum.org Professional Scrum Product Owner I. (PSPO I.) certification within a 4-hour session after the training. The 4-hour additional module includes an 80-question exam simulation and its joint evaluation.

Our 2-day programme is designed to be straightforward, focused on the essentials and practice, simulating the tasks from the creation of a project idea, a "project dream", to its delivery. The programme is very intensive, with about 20% of theory and 80% of practical elements, so the number of groups is set at 4-12.

During the programme, we will pay great attention to the steps and techniques that precede sprints and iterations, as in many cases agile projects fail due to inadequate preparation. The programme can also be implemented in an outsourced form, in which case we simulate a sample project proposed by the client.

Frequently asked questions about PSPO certification:

There are several internationally recognised Product Owner certifications, the most common of which is the PSPO certification. The PSPO certification can be obtained through Scrum.org.

PSPO is an abbreviation for Professional Scrum Product Owner, one of Scrum.org's certifications.

The training we provide meets international standards and our trainees pass the PSPO exam. Our trainings are composed of a 50/50 mix of theoretical and practical elements, so that the learning can be immediately put to the test in real professional situations, helping to acquire and deepen knowledge.

The PSPO certification can be obtained through Scrum.org, has no prerequisites, currently costs 200 USD for the basic level and does not expire after obtaining it. The CSPO certification can be obtained through the Scrum Alliance, with a prerequisite of attending a training course organised by the Scrum Alliance (1000 EUR+), so we recommend the PSPO certification.

We recommend the PSPO qualification for those who want to work as a Product Owner, or who already have Product Owner experience and want to prove their expertise by gaining an internationally recognised, prestigious qualification. The PSPO I qualification is ideal for those starting out in their career, career changers and those working in the industry.

There are no prerequisites to obtain the PSPO I qualification, but it is recommended to complete an exam preparation course.

There is no such restriction. It is advisable to leave as much time as necessary between the course and the exam.

The PSPO exam code is valid until used and has no expiry date. It can be used at any time after purchase, for as long as you want.

The PSPO exam fees are set by Scrum.org, which is currently USD 200 for PSPO Level I, USD 250 for PSPO Level II, and USD 500 per attempt for PSPO Level III.

PSPO I is available in English, Japanese and Simplified Chinese, PSPO II and PSPO III are available in English and Simplified Chinese. The exam can be taken using the Google Translate Plugin, which should be used in accordance with the Scrum.org guidelines. However, Scrum.org points out that they cannot guarantee the quality of the translation.

The PSPO I exam is 60 minutes long and consists of 80 questions. There are three types of questions on the exam: true-false questions, single-answer questions and multiple-answer questions.

To take the PSPO exam, you need a computer and an internet connection. The first step is to register on Scrum.org and then start the exam with the purchased exam code. To pass the PSPO I and PSPO II exams, you must answer at least 85% of the questions correctly, and for the PSPO III exam, you will be individually assessed on your exam work, with a pass or fail result.

There is no break in the PSPO exam, you must complete the exam within the time frame.

Yes, you need to buy a new exam code.

PSPO certification is a lifetime certification, with no statute of limitations.

The PSPO I certificate demonstrates the holder's knowledge of the Scrum framework, the ability to support value creation and value transfer, and the ability to bridge strategy and product management to create a valuable product with a Scrum approach. The PSPO II certificate demonstrates that the holder has a high level of knowledge and application of the Scrum framework and is able to keep the focus on maximising value in complex situations. PSPO III certifies the holder's highest level of Scrum knowledge, extensive experience as a Product Owner and ability to apply the Scrum framework to solve complex problems and deliver valuable products.

The Product Owner training we organise is 2 days long, from 9:00-17:00, followed by an optional 4-hour PSPO coaching consultation.
