What is the Advanced Product Owner programme about?
The Advanced Product Owner training is designed to help participants move beyond operational backlog management and become true product strategy thinkers. The programme focuses on shifting from a project-based mindset to a product-oriented approach, where value creation and customer experience are at the centre of decision-making.
During the training, participants are introduced to the Evidence-Based Management (EBM) approach, which supports measuring and improving organisational agility. Value-driven metrics are explored in detail, along with practical guidance on how to apply them in real-world contexts.
Participants also learn essential tools for strategic product management, with a strong emphasis on stakeholder management, roadmap creation, and outcome-driven planning. Practical simulations and case studies ensure that the knowledge gained can be immediately applied in day-to-day work.

Prerequisites and structure of the Advanced Product Owner programme
This is an advanced-level training. Participants must meet at least one of the following prerequisites:
- Completion of a Product Owner training course with practical agile simulations; or
- Existing Professional Scrum Product Owner I (PSPO I) certification; or
- Successful completion of ProMan Consulting’s own Product Owner exam (PSPO Level I) with a minimum score of 80%; or
- Eligibility confirmed through an individual professional discussion or a short survey.
The programme can also be delivered to teams, in which case the exercises, situations, and scenarios are tailored to the client’s specific needs.
PSPO II. exam preparation
If required, we offer an additional 4-hour training module after the programme to support preparation for the Professional Scrum Product Owner II (PSPO II) certification exam. This module includes an 80-question exam simulation and a joint review and evaluation of the results.
